We must depart from all immorality. God sent his only Son to die for our sins and should we then live to please our sinful flesh or live according to the Spirit?
We call Jesus Lord but do we do as he says. Do we follow his commandments and do we know what he commands for us to do.
It is easy to get lost with the spirit of this age because the culture is being led by the devil. He is currently at work in the sons of disobedience.
We as Christians should be so saturated with Jesus's words that it becomes natural to us to walk as he did. We ought to think like Jesus since we have the mind of Christ. We have the indwelling of His Spirit.
But too many of us fail! We do not engage violently with our lusts and even though we have been given undeniable proof through our experience of his existence yet we stumble willingly to follow him.
O, help us all O Lord. Help us live in a way that is consistent with your desires.
Sometimes I am frustrated when I read the gospels. I see that Jesus does all things well. He heals the sick and everyone who came to him, he loved perfectly. I wish I could do the same or at least half of what my Lord did. He walked in perfect obedience to the father.
Indeed, Jesus had a mission that was unique. I desire to live in obedience to his commands.
