Her ways I once enjoyed

Her ways I once enjoyed
But now disengaged from the facts
Of which her sunny smile compelled me to adore.
The interest of her charm was remembered on an equable farm
The pleasure of flight, on the leaves the birds and I asserted our cries.
I walked through the faultless light
Her pleasant rays tendered my sight.
O, gentle glow
My Spirit has learned not to be so low
At her remembrance, what could have been
Will never be seen!
