Beauty had a face

Beauty had a face,
But beauty did not have a name.
She was the topic of the town,
All day and all night, she was the discourse of all their minds!

One day, one very good and lovely day
A man came to the city and sat in the public square.

"Come here all you that have beauty in your mind
Come near. I have come for my property!" So the man declared.

The major of the town happened to be in the square that day.
He was a fat man
A large man, a bearded man
A good man!

"In what way is she your property?" Askedthe mayor.

"It was I who made her!" Replied the man........
