Her future is clear and occupied with success.
She is accomplished and adorned with beauty of all kinds.
My admiration is palpable
It stings me into a condemned loyalty!
Condemned, yet no bitterness dismay
No hidden rue
Or malice to wish her unwell
Only wellness I pray as each night I toast to her creed.

Everybody trying to find love
Everybody trying to find love
Am I looking in the wrong place?
A heart full of gold
But everywhere I go
Every eye close.
A misunderstanding
My reasons are purer
No ulterior motive
Because I want to be a good man.
Everybody trying to find love
It's not a surprise because its how we were made.

Avoided ambition
Avoided ambition lead to the miscarriage of their dreams.
The briefness of his devotion agitated the applause from his father’s wings.
Fly like him!
But he eschewed his mother’s distant call – always beckoning,
Hating her constant echoing, un-trifling his youthful doctrinal education.
Blessed condolence; but not enough to conform to their decreed will.
Outcast!
Felt caged since his deported youth.
Winsome, nevertheless cold; a shining star.
However, he chose to hide his light under cardinal crimes.
Christless Culture
The Christian has to understand that most of the things being presented to him from the culture are being presented without Christ at the center. In one word, it is Christless. But the Christian is to have Christ at the center. In regards to what we consume, like the tv shows and films we watch and things we engage in, most of it is Christless.
Consider your favorite Netflix show or your favorite movie. Ask yourself what views it has about Jesus if any at all. Yet we consume these things uncritically and blind ourselves to what the devil and the flesh are doing in all these, namely, to captivate and capture our minds so that we serve him and our flesh.
Paul writes that the days are evil and we should wake up from our slumber. The Christian should expect no less from today and the days to come, namely that it will be full of evil, and we are to engage in such a way as to bring Christ into all things.
We are to love our neighbors in everything and glorify God in all that we do. The world is not going to do this. It falls on the Christian to magnify Christ because it is the Christian who now confesses Christ as Lord although everyone will confess it when He returns.
Many Christians fear that they would be labeled a radical if they show too much allegiance to Christ in front of the world. They fear the label of being called religious or a killjoy. But one thing the Christian ought to understand is that the joy of the world and the joy in Jesus does not overlap. They are two different things. The Christian simply seeks his total satisfaction in God. Yea, his well overflows.

God has granted every believer, grace.
God has granted every believer, grace. Anyone who is a Christian, who has the Spirit of God dwelling in them has been granted eternal grace by God Almighty. This favour was not earned but given freely according to God's own delight. In His own counsel, He freely decided to grant every Christian, grace. And this grace was to prove effective in them accepting the gospel of His Son.
This grace will lead to their glorification because God who started the good work in them will finish it. The believer did not start the work of being renewed in themselves and therefore cannot destroy it. God began it, and God will finish it.

Behold my affliction
There is a time when the enemy will triumph or for some of us, there is consistent season when the enemy will triumph over us. And in that season of defeat, we must cling to hope and understand that this is not final for us. At that moment we must call out to the Lord like Jeremiah in the book of lamentations and say, “O Lord, behold my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed!”
Sin triumphs over us and for most it is certain sins. The regenerated Christian will despair and mourn about this. His disposition would be that of a mourner but yet hopeful, knowing that Christ Jesus has defeated this enemy.

Jesus lives
Two thousand years ago, Jesus of Nazareth rose from the dead. Yes, that is, on a certain day in the past that is as certain as the day we are now experiencing, this marvelous event took place. In Jerusalem, Jesus who was buried on Friday rose from the dead. It is beyond belief but it is true because this event would inspire the defeated disciples to rise from their own sorrows and fear to preach to the whole world this message that Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified was raised from the dead. Jesus is not in the grave, He is alive and right now, yes right at this very moment He is sitting at the right hand of His father. Jesus of Nazareth lives and He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

No more goodbyes
O, My friend, in this life we say a thousand goodbyes. And there are some goodbyes that are eternal. But there is a day when goodbyes will be no more. To all that are found in Christ, there comes a day when we shall never depart from each other. All the storms and sorrows of life will be over, only happiness and eternal bliss remain. Truly I shall walk and lay on green pastures and feast eternally on the bread of life. The night dissolves away and the light of life is ever-present. O, here, all of our best hopes death takes away, all of our heroism is forgotten in a day, but on that golden shore which was made possible by the death of Christ which is the death of death, all of my hopes will be realized and lived until the end of my eternal days. No more will I ever say goodbye to a saint, no more will God's presence fade from my eyes and heart. O, it is a happy day and I ask you to meet me there by believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, yea that glorious saviour that does all things well.

In this time of crisis
In this time of crisis, we must all be in unity and help one another. There is no greater love than that we lay down our lives for each other and that looks like a million little kind acts.
We are all isolated but technology has made it possible to still see each other's faces. My prayer is for the elderly that are already vulnerable, that were already isolated only to be driven into further isolation and have no resources to feed themselves, that they will get the help they need.
Perhaps after this, we can imagine 'a new moral economy that puts people, not profits, at its centre, and works to promote human flourishing' (Johns Hopkins University).
My prayer is also that many see the fragility of life, that indeed we are here today and gone tomorrow, but not only that but that there is a God who will judge the living and the dead by the man he has appointed, the man Christ Jesus and that many will call upon His name and believe.

I feel like my days are up
Dear Sunny
I feel like my days are up
Death hangs around my door.
His fear pangs my heart to fear
Everlasting joy remains unclear.
Oh, my dear, I wish you were here
To firm and fix my tears to my years.
This sickness I am sure will close my eyes
But how can I live all my future in a night?
Regret has been my bedside friend
How I wish I had lived more holy days.
You told me faith would be my final rock
How I wish I kept her deep
But in my youth, I flung her into the sea.
I hear the knock, please fetch the priest
Perhaps in this last rite, my soul will live.

Am I hung up on a woman's love
Am I hung up on a woman's love that is in the past?
Nay! It is fresh and icy
And intrigues my reverence.
A bold boundless face that draws out all my chivalry.
To see her is my grand design,
To cite a sentence from her ways.
O courage, teach me how not to withdraw
But to march on despite my beauty crumbling before hers.

Let me be contented
Let me be contented, although loving you seems cruel.
The age whispers when all I wanted was the praise of your convenience.
The civility of the dawn should bring about a cheerful wild,
But deep into the night, I lament your boundless charm,
It holds me chained, warm like an appropriate smile.

My living hope
Jesus Christ is my living hope. The individual on whom all my hope resides. If He was dead then He would provide me with no living hope but He is alive, and He reigns eternally.

I knew a boy who thought he was God's prophet
I knew a boy who was thinking long into the night. He told himself that "when I awake, I'm going to be God's prophet". He decided this because his country was going through great peril and many people were living in fear of death. He believed before that many did fear death but only when they were about to die. But many were now living in fear of death which was a terrible thing to him as well as to the welfare of his nation. Because of this drastic fear, there were measures put in place by the government and the people to protect themselves from their current crisis. But things did not improve, it only got worse.
So the boy thought that He would be a prophet and preach to the people to inform them that their calamity is a sign from God and that they needed to repent of their sins. He thought that if he preached this and the people did repent then perhaps, the crisis would go away and people will be delivered from their fear of death for that was what he was most concerned about. For even though the crisis had taken a lot away, yet the boy himself did not fear death and wondered why many could not be like him.
Although the boy did not really know if this was a punishment from God, or even more that he himself was a prophet because there was no calling from God, only his own desire that he ought to be one. He took it upon himself to be God's prophet and prayed for forgiveness if God is offended by this because he believed that his actions flow from a pure stream.
When the boy did wake, he did as he desired. He went up on a hill and started to preach. He preached with his whole heart and many gathered to hear what he had to say. He beseeched the people with great earnestness pointing them to the book that had said that all this calamity would take place if the people should turn away from God. Many listened intently and a few stayed long into the night deciding right there to be his disciple.
The boy's movement gathered momentum and in time his message penetrated the heart of the ordinary folks as well as the rich. Everyone in the city eventually came out of their house no longer fearing death. Every knee was bowed and every mouth knew at least five or more hymns. The darkness lifted away from the city and the crisis ceased. The town grew prosperous and the boy was hailed as a hero and a great prophet. But the boy throughout his life always wondered if he really was God's prophet. Throughout his prayers, he always apologized to God that he took it upon himself to act out the role of His prophet and prayed that when they meet face to face that God would have mercy on him if he had acted presumptuously.
