Pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit each morning

Here is a challenge, a direct plea to your daily walk that after you begin your prayers with thanksgiving, commence it with an eager expectation that the Lord should fill you with His Spirit so that you may walk your day accordingly and in his guidance. The Spirit already indwells you but ask that you may be filled as it was with the early believers; they prayed and after they prayed they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and thus all had the courage to speak the word of God boldly, (Acts 4:31). Peter filled with the Holy Spirit was able to stand before the leaders with boldness and declare the name of Jesus Christ, (Acts 4:8). Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit was able to look up to heaven and see the glory of God and Jesus Christ sitting at his right hand, (Acts 7:55). Paul tells us, ‘do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead be filled with the Spirit', (Ephesians 5:18). And when you pray, do not be double minded in your petition but believing with all faith that God has heard and answered your prayers in the most affirmative sense. As you are constantly filled with the Spirit, having a constant awareness of his bounty, you will walk automatically in line with his steps and dance gracefully to his song. You will no longer gratify the desires of the flesh but you will find yourself walking in love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness and self-control. Pray each morning to be filled with the Holy Spirit, not for selfish gain but for the sake of fellowship and the enjoyment of God and to boldly declare the gospel of Christ, the Nazarene who died and rose again.
